Battery pack end-of-line (EOL) testing is the final quality verification step in pack production. It typically includes insulation resistance test, hi-pot (dielectric withstand) test, OCV measurement, capacity verification, BMS communication check, leakage test and performance characterization — all performed on a single test bench before the pack ships.
VoltTest module/pack test systems support CAN 2.0A/B (for BMS communication), LIN bus (for sub-module communication), RS-485 (for auxiliary sensors) and Ethernet (for data upload). The system can emulate BMS commands and verify the pack's BMS responses during EOL testing.
VoltTest pack test systems cover 0–60 V for modules and 0–1000 V for full packs, with current up to 600 A per channel. High-power configurations up to 1500 V / 1000 A are available for large commercial EV and ESS pack testing. Custom ranges are available through OEM/ODM.
Yes. The VoltTest pack test bench integrates insulation resistance measurement (up to 1000 V DC, 0.01–10 GΩ range) and dielectric withstand (hi-pot) testing (AC or DC, up to 5 kV) as part of the automated EOL test sequence, eliminating the need for a separate instrument.
A complete EOL test cycle (insulation + hi-pot + OCV + BMS comm + capacity check) typically takes 2–5 minutes per pack for standard automotive modules, and 5–15 minutes for full EV packs. The exact time depends on the test items included and the pack's voltage/capacity rating.
